Hello Bloom Blog readers!
Today I'm bringing you through my favourite flowers from this floral season! The past two months has been brimming with a whirlwind of colours and scents. I've loved every moment in our quaint flower shop in Mount Waverley. Read and thank me later on your newfound floral treasures!
1. Gloriosa
This magnificent flower brushes up in fiery red and orange plumes, with its petals unfurling in crimped claws. Bunched up in batches of three stems, this feisty flower is no cheap catch - but it sure looks magnanimous! Gloriosa is delicate to the touch, with a light fragility that tempers its hot spirit.
2. Canterbury Bell
Ah, the glorious Canterbury Bell. What can I say - this flower is simply my favourite. With its soft pastel dusted flowering head (reminiscent of baby bell fairies and angelic winged cherubs - stuff of fairytales), the Canterbury Bell exudes a wispy, waifish kind-of tenderness. By far my most favourite flower of the season! This flower's season ends next week, mid-December, so hop onto the trend-wagon quick for your daily dose of pretty pastel beauty. I especially love how this flower comes in multiple soft pastels: Lilac, Violet, Baby Blue and Baby Pink.
3. Peony
And of course, who could miss this gem - the Peony. Perhaps one of the most beloved flowers, so many of my clients inquire after the elusive, fluffy Peony. The petals unfurl like a blooming rose bud, while the scent is a soft sweet and floral (similar to jasmine!). I love my peonies, but they can wilt fairly quickly! As they say - Beauty is fleeting! Care for them well, and peonies will reward you. A safe option for hay-fevered individuals.
Alright, that's all for today! I'll see you again soon, with more delicious morsels of floral-y tidbits! Thank you.
