The lovely, sweet cyclamen is a perennial plant that grows year-round, sometimes reaching heights of 13 centimetres. Blessed with round, oval or heart-shaped leaves, cyclamens leafy outer edges are spotted with green and silver patters facing up, and green or red painted colouring on the face down. The tip tops of the plant are covered in silky, velvet soft and tender flowers. Ever-present, the cyclamen can flower again each year under a plant mom's nurture if the tuber is healthy and potted in the right soil.
Care for as an indoor or outdoor plant. Cyclamens enjoy high humidity and moist soil when flowering. When the plant is young, keep it inside. When the plant is more older and hardy, re-pot the cyclamen outside in a shady area and let its roots take in the ground. Cyclamen should be watered thoroughly when the soil looks and feels dry on the surface. Avoid watering the inside of the plant as it might rot if it is too wet.
